Type Locality and Horizon: Acre 6, south bank of Río Acre upstream from Belgica, Department of Madre de Dios, Perú; late Miocene (Huayquerian); Acre Conglomerate Member between Solimões and Madre de Dios formations.

Diagnosis (from Czaplewski 1996a): A Noctilio of small size; m1 is significantly smaller than in previously known Noctilionidae (N. albiventris and N. leporinus), especially in length and trigonid width.
